5. Returns and Refunds

We believe that skincare and sleep products are deeply personal and require careful consideration. To ensure the highest standards of hygiene and safety for all our customers, we offer a 14-day return option for eligible purchases. However, please note that Aino products are classified as hygiene-sensitive products, and specific exceptions apply under Estonian law and guidelines from the Estonian Consumer Protection and Technical Regulatory Authority (TTJA).

Hygiene-Sensitive Products

According to Võlaõigusseadus § 53 lg 4 p 4 and clarified by the TTJA, certain items are unsuitable for return due to health and hygiene reasons. These include products that:

• Come into direct contact with the skin or body.
• Cannot be guaranteed to be safe for reuse or resale after opening.

Examples provided by TTJA include opened cosmetics (e.g., creams, lipsticks, mascaras) and clothing like underwear or swimwear once the hygiene seal is removed. Similarly, bedding and pillowcases fall into this category if they:

• Are marketed as hygienic products, such as antibacterial or therapeutic items (e.g., Aino silk pillowcases for skin or hair health).
• Have direct and prolonged contact with the skin, such as pillowcases or sheets.
• Pose hygiene risks if returned after use or opening.

For these reasons, opened or used pillowcases cannot be returned.

How to Return Eligible Products

If your product is unused, unopened, and in its original condition, and you would like to make a return, please follow these steps:

1. Email us at hello@skincarebyaino.com with your order details.
2. Once we receive the product in its original, unopened, and undamaged condition, we will process your return within 24 business hours.

Important Notes:

• Eligibility: Returns must be initiated within 14 days of receiving your order. The product must be unopened and undamaged.
• Exclusions: Opened or used products, including pillowcases and other hygiene-sensitive items, cannot be returned due to health and safety reasons. If a product is ordered as a custom-made item, and the shop indicates before purchase that ‘This product is made to order and custom-made orders may take up to 14 business days to ship after the purchase,’ such products cannot be returned.

Additional Information:
All return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer unless the product arrived damaged or incorrect.
